From July 6th to 12th this year, New Taipei City Government led a team of 20 New Taipei enterprises to participate in the “TAIWAN EXPO 2024 INDIA”, organized by the International Trade Administration and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). New Taipei City also pioneered the “New Taipei City Pavilion” at the exhibition, bringing together team efforts to achieve outstanding results and generating over NT$300 million in overseas business opportunities.

Dr. Tih-Ju Chu, Deputy Mayor of the New Taipei City Government, stated that since 2013, New Taipei City has launched trade mission delegation, successfully assisting hundreds of enterprises in expanding their international trade. This year, recognizing India’s emergence as the world’s largest manufacturing center, the government integrated 20 enterprises from various fields, including information and communication technology, electronics, machinery manufacturing, and healthcare, to participate in the exhibition in India. The team used the model of combining exhibition and trade fair to explore cross-border cooperation opportunities in the South Asian market. He expressed pleasure in seeing enterprises achieve significant success in the Indian market.

The Economic Development Department emphasized that the success of the “New Taipei City Trade Mission Delegation” in India this year is attributed to the excellent enterprises participating in the plan. New Taipei City will continue to pay attention to the needs of enterprises and international market trends, demonstrating determination and action in promoting economic development. In the future, the city hopes to invite more outstanding New Taipei enterprises to join and jointly explore overseas business opportunities!
