[New Taipei City News] New Taipei City Government has promoted the friendly film and television city and created three New Taipei Film Trails, which is also a step towards promoting New Taipei City’s diverse shooting scenes and convenient co-production services internationally. New Taipei City Film Assist Center, Department of Information went to Busan, South Korea, in October to participate in the “Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM)” and the “2024 Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF)” from November 5th to 8th, attracting inquiries from domestic and foreign film and television teams. The city government looks forward to using New Taipei City as an ideal location for film and television shooting in the future.
Li-Chen Lee, Director of the Department of Information, indicated that New Taipei City’s three film trails, namely the “Classic Walk of Fame,” City Walk of Fame,” and “Route 2 Taiwan Walk of Fame”, include scenes such as Jiufen, Houtong, the Lin Family Mansion and Garden, Sanchong Air Force Military Kindred Village No.1, Fort San Domingo, Tamsui Customs Officer’s Residence (Little White House), and The Tamsui Customs Wharf. They are favorite shooting locations for domestic and foreign film and television teams. By participating in ACFM and TCCF in Busan, the Department of Information will market New Taipei’s friendly co-production services and the prosperous city culture, history, and natural beauty.
The Department of Information indicated that the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) attracted 35 groups of creators from South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Australia, France, and other countries to consult about calling for documentary and New Taipei locations. Meanwhile, the 2024 Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) attracted more than 40 domestic and foreign film and television crews to inquire and express their willingness to cooperate in filming in New Taipei in the coming.
According to the Department of Information, New Taipei City Film Assist Center has cooperated with domestic and foreign film and television teams more than 7,300 times since its establishment with its friendly and convenient single application consultation window service. The series “Port of Lies,” “Oh No! Here Comes Trouble,” “Trade War,” and “Hakka Moive-Shape of Love” just won the 59th Golden Bell Awards, and “18×2 Beyond Youthful Days,” “Daughter’s Daughter,” “Dead Talents Society,” and other works nominated for the 61st Golden Horse Awards have all visited New Taipei for filming, significantly increasing the exposure of New Taipei scenes.
The New Taipei City Film Assist Center has entered its 14th year. In the future, it will continue to expand its participation in international film and television events, develop more film and television shooting scenes and theme trails, deepen film and television culture, and enhance international visibility.
