This is the first time New Taipei City host International Para Table tennis Game. Mayor of New Taipei City Hou Yu-Ih and President of Chinese Taipei Paralympic Committee Mu Ming-Chu held Game Opening press conference, and invite people to join game watching.

Mayor of New Taipei City Hou Yu-Ih said, this game will help players preparing Asia Para Game, and welcome 16 nations, 230 players enjoy Ban-Su Sports Center’s sports facilities, especially handy recumbent and this game.

President of Chinese Taipei Paralympic Committee Mu Ming-Chu said 2023 New Taipei City Para Table tennis Game is the most important game for players to upgrading their international ranking. She hope local players all could have nice result.

Local plyer Chen Po-Yen is just qualified for Paris 2024 in TT11 Men’s on June 7th. He was learning play table tennis with older sister on elementary school, and join sport special class on Hai-Shan high school. Because of his little intellectual disability, he has lots of troubles in school and training. After coach Wei’s training and helping, Po Yen overcome his weakness, and wins golden ticket to 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.
