【NEW TAIPEI CITY】Attention all singing enthusiasts! Registration for the 19th New Taipei City “Labor Star” Singing Competition is now open from July 1 till July 25, 6:00 PM. Workers in New Taipei City and legal migrant workers in Taiwan are warmly invited to participate in this musical celebration. This year’s competition features a total prize pool of NT$360,000. Winners from each category will be featured on “New Taipei City Labor Cloud”, the official website of the Labor Affairs Department, gaining official recognition and marketing opportunities for their captivating voices. Labor Affairs Commissioner Chen Ruei-Chia stated, the “Labor Star Singing Competition” is the longest-running singing contest organized by the public sector, with nearly 10,000 participants accumulated over the years, nurturing many talented singers who have gone on to television singing competition shows. The Labor Affairs Department strongly encourages workers to engage in healthy recreational activities to achieve a better balance between work and living. Since winners are not eligible to compete again in future competitions, it’s humorously referred to as “having graduated from the Labor Star Singing Contest” which serves as a recognition of exemplary singing stars. This year’s competition will kick off on August, and we welcome family and friends to come and cheer for the contestants, ensuring no exciting moment is missed.
The Labor Star Singing Competition offers generous prizes for winners in all categories: First Place NT$35,000, Second Place NT$24,000, Third Place NT$18,000, Fourth Place NT$12,000, Fifth Place NT$7,000, and NT$3,000 each for winners from Sixth to Tenth Place.
